  • Dependants receive a variant of the pensioner letter
  • Members with AVCs receive additional targeted communications with versions for both AVCs included in the bulk annuity and AVCs handled separately

How does the Marsh Impact team customise the package for each scheme?

Each template in the package is built with clearly marked placeholders for scheme-specific information, including the scheme name, trustees details, insurer name, administrator contact details, and key dates. or approaching wind-up.

The Marsh Impact team works with the trustee and their advisers to populate and adapt these for the specific circumstances of the scheme.

Beyond the basic placeholders, we also review the content to ensure it reflects the specific features of your scheme, for example, the types of benefits payable, any discretionary practices the trustees wish to reference, or scheme-specific member circumstances that may require additional explanation.

Are the communications sent under Marsh’s name or the trustees’ name?

All communications are written in the voice of the trustees and sent under the trustees’ name. This is important for maintaining the relationship of trust between the trustees and members, and for reinforcing that the trustees remain responsible for members’ best interests throughout the risk transfer process. The Marsh Impact team acts as the communications adviser, manages production and distribution behind the scenes.

How long does it take to produce the communications?

Timescales will depend on the complexity of the scheme. As a guide, we aim to work to the following indicative timelines from instruction:

We recommend engaging with us as early as possible in the process to allow sufficient lead time.

Can you work to our scheme’s existing brand or design style?

Yes

The standard templates are produced in a clean, accessible format consistent with the Marsh Impact team's brand and DEI guidelines. However, if the scheme has an existing member communications brand, a scheme-specific logo, colour palette, or brand identity, we can adapt the templates accordingly.
